Generations of Virtue is currently in Cincinnati, OH for the Midwest Homeschool Convention. This is our first time at this particular convention, and we are looking forward to meeting new people and spreading the message of purity here. Our founder and Executive Director, Julie Hiramine, will be speaking four times at this convention. Julie will be sharing the following messages:
“Setting a Paradigm for Purity“–a practical seminar for parents of preschool-middle school aged children designed to equip them to train their children in purity. Learn what is appropriate to share at each stage of development as you train your children to stand against the immoral influences of our culture.
“The Popularity Myth: Equip Your Daughter to Embrace True Friendship“–a revealing message about the “mean girl” mentality found among homeschoolers, friends, siblings, and more. Julie discusses how to help your daughter avoid participating in and falling victim to this mentality while also teaching her how to embrace God’s design for friendship.
“A Girl’s High Calling“–parents of girls will receive a renewed vision to raise and encourage our precious daughters toward Godly womanhood. As a mother of five daughters, Julie is intimately familiar with the challenges facing the girls of this upcoming generation, as well as their God-given calling to raise a banner of purity in today’s world.
“Keeping Your Teens on the Road to Purity“–Today’s teenagers face numerous stumbling blocks–it seems everything in the media, among their peers, and in the culture is calling them away from the road to purity. But God has given our teens powerful allies–their parents–to help them stay the course. Learn how to help your teens and tweens on this difficult road.

If you are planning to attend the convention, please look for us! We have a beautiful purple booth that you can’t miss. Stop by for carefully selected books, DVDs, CDs, t-shirts, and jewelry for parents, children, and teens. We review all of our products before we carry them so that we can help you find the best fit for your family.

Julie the context of friendship vs popularity is so important. A church that has a good youth program can really help. Our family is so blessed as the unofficial motto of the Rolling Hills Community Church
http://www.hsmwired.com is “Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated”.
Families need to step up as well, a small thing is to praise action not appearance. Young people can control their actions not their appearance.
