Am I crazy, or does anyone else sense the insanity of this ruling? If you haven’t heard, a young woman in London was wearing a purity ring at her high school and was told by school officials to remove it or face expulsion.
There is, of course, two sides. The school has a “no-jewelry” policy, but for Muslims it is permissible since it is an integral part of their religion. But since the Bible only mentions abstaining from immorality (and the like) around 100 times, (www.biblegateway.com) it didn’t quite make the cut for necessity. Apparently, the High Court of England didn’t get the memo about the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of purity.
I don’t know about you, but this ban very concerning to me. Check out the whole story at: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,289424,00.html.
Blessings,
Kelsey
